Foundation 100 Days of School Celebration
A huge congratulations to our Foundation students (and families) who are celebrating 100 DAYS OF SCHOOL today, Friday 5 August. It was amazing to see our Foundation students enjoy dressing up and the fun activities our Foundation teachers planned. We will include photos of the day in next week’s newsletter.
Professional Practice Day - Friday 19 August – Student Free Day
A reminder to our community that our staff Professional Practice Day (PPD) will be on Friday 19 August. On this day, teachers and staff will have the opportunity to work on a range of duties to support and improve the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning. A reminder that this day is a student free day. Please place this date in your calendars and contact OSH Club to enrol your child/ren on the date, if necessary.
Walk-A-Thon
This term our Walk-A-Thon is on Wednesday 17 August. Please join us to support our students (and staff) as they challenge themselves and raise money for sporting facilities & equipment, line marking in the junior area, Football goals and Basketball back boards to keep them active year-round. Students will complete as many laps as they can of the Walkathon route.
We hope you will consider a donation to support the students at our school, by:
scanning the QR code below
visiting www.willynthps.vic.edu.au/walkathon
passing on money directly to the student
Soon, all details regarding the information on the day will be communicated. We thank for sponsoring the event. Search KEEP on the App store now.

2023 Enrolment Intentions
We know that some families unfortunately won’t be with us next year, due to moving house etc. If that includes your family, we are sorry to see you leave our community.
Please ensure that you call the school on 9397 7722 or email williamstown.north.ps@education.vic.gov.au to let us know.
This supports us with our planning for next year. We thank you for your support and understanding.
Shade Sail
We thank our community for their flexibility in using another entry and exit last Tuesday, as the installation of our new shade sail commenced. Our Melbourne Road entry and exit community gate will now be open again for use. We will again communicate another date when this gate may be closed to support future works, for students, staff and parent/carer safety.
Building Works – Disabled Toilet, External Doors and Walkways
Late this term we will commence scheduled works regarding our disabled toilet and side external sliding doors in our Admin building, as well as an undercover walkway from our Admin building to our Junior Learning Centre (Prep building). This will impact our Japanese and Performing Arts classes, as well as some Year 1 classes and the use of our Melbourne Road entry and exit gate. We will communicate with our community as this work and disruption takes place.
Father’s Day Stall
In helping to celebrate the upcoming Father’s Day (or special person day), we will be hosting a Father’s Day stall on Friday 25th August from 9:15am—1:30pm, whereby students will be able to purchase a small gift for dad or someone special in their lives. We recommend that students bring along $5.00 to spend at the stall (for junior students, a clearly marked envelope with their name and class is suggested).
A huge thank you to Rachelle Burbidge and Jasmyn Keane (parents), who have once again volunteered to coordinate the stall. They would be grateful to any parents who may be available to assist during the morning of the stall. If you could spend an hour or two assisting, please email Jasmyn at: markandjas@me.com or racheburb@bigpond.com
