Please also note that the school will also be closed on Tuesday 1st November for the annual Cup Day Holiday, with school resuming for regular classes on Wednesday 2nd November.

Big Night In
The Year 1 and 2 students enjoyed a fabulous night of activities on Friday 21st October as part of the ‘Big Night In’, which culminated with the Year 2 students sleeping in their classroom that night. We were very fortunate that the rain held off on late Friday afternoon and all planned activities were able to go ahead. Even a thunderstorm didn’t deter any spirits through the night, with all students demonstrating great resilience and perseverance. We were very grateful to all parents who ensured prompt pick up arrangements for the Year 1 students on Friday night and the Year 2 students on Saturday morning.
The event was another great Willy North collaboration with many staff from across the school supporting the Year 1 and 2 teachers. We sincerely thank all staff who were able to support this event, especially those who stayed overnight to ensure a high level of care for all students. A special shout out to Georgie Petty (Year 2 teacher) who coordinated the planning with the teams and worked tirelessly to ensure everything ran like clockwork!
Hooptime
Last Friday the Boys from both our Junior All-Stars from years 3 and 4 attended Regional Finals in Werribee. This was a great opportunity for our Boys to go up against some really good competition from some other schools in the region. Both teams played extremely well and represented our school proudly. Our year 4 team unfortunately missed out on going to the next stage of the competition (States) by 2 points going down to a tough Bethany PS in a nail-biting final. Well done to both teams for making it that far. A huge thank you to Patrick Marshall, Stephanie Veneziano, Ashley Higginbotham, Ashley Bettenay and Chester Bettenay for coaching, scoring and assisting on the day.
A big congratulations to both of the year 3 and 4 Girl's All-Star teams who have been fast tracked into the State Finals. This will be held on Monday 21 November.
Also, congratulations and good luck to our Senior All-Start Boys Team 2 and Senior All-Star Girls Team 1 from years 5 and 6 for their upcoming Regional finals competition to be held on Wednesday 9 November.
Thanks, Nick Fitzpatrick, PE Teacher
Volleyball
A big congratulations to the Year 5 & 6 Boys Green Volleyball Team who competed at the Divisional stage on the 7th October. The team performed very well together overall and had a fantastic experience winning one game and unfortunately falling short in the closing stages of their other two games. An outstanding effort overall winning through from the District Stage and training in the Gymnasium for preparation.
Thanks, Bill Manoleras, PE Teacher
Year 6 Mums Lunch
Last Friday the Year 6 mums got together at the Royal Yacht Club to celebrate the final year of Primary School for our kids. It was a beautiful afternoon with about 60 mums attending. Thanks to the organising committee of Caroline, Helen, Rachelle, Sheena and Nicole.
